I'm on forums for my 6g and 3g Accords, Mk 2 Golf, Mk2 Scirocco and the Xsara (it breaks a lot, membership on that one is necessity), and of course my Prelude :)

I can honestly say this is the best forum of the lot, mainly because there's always something going on and threads to join in with. And best of all everyone on here is generally very knowledgeable and friendly, and go out of their way to help out fellow members. People have helped me out several times already and I've not been here long

On the other end of the scale, on the Scirocco forum one of the rules is that all posts most be relevant to the cars in some way. There isn't even an introduce yourself section, just members cars, Scirocco chat, technical problems and classifieds. There's a couple of regular contributors on there who are knowledgeable but other than that nothing happens, there's no sense of community :(

The others are somewhere in between on the scale, with TypeAccord being my next favourite, the feel there is a bit similar to ours in the sense of support to other members and just building relationships through general chat and achieving a generally good community :)

I can't say I can fault this forum at all though, it's spot on here :D and at the end of the day, nobody forces you to read topics that you don't want to read, if you don't like people just generally chatting then you can just ignore them - just like real life!

Why don't people just drokk off and never visit the site again?

I've never understood people making a post asking for their account to be deleted. What do they expect, people to cry and plead with them to stay?

Just drokk off and don't come back. Don't make a song and dance about it.

Lol, jj, TypeAccord is jobby, I forgot all about that forum as it has been a while since I've been there. It's a clicky gang with no sense of humour. Would probably be better if I was Azn.

Merlin wrote:@leefentonsheard I deleted your for sale thread after you were ranting about the place being jobby etc.. We will not stand for that.

Go chillout, rub one out, burn a J, punch a midget, whatever, come back and apologise and I am sure all will be forgiven. We have all said stuff we dont really mean.

Don't forget the wiff waff!

Well said.
If something about or somebody on a forum is causing grief then either...
1. Send a PM to raise / resolve your issues.
2. Comment on the post that was found offensive, and politely ask to resolve.
3. Stop logging in to the forum.
4. Delete your account.
5. All of the above!!

Dont come on here ignoring selling rules when trying to shift crap and then publicly slag off the forum and its members for not being what you wanted it to be! I cant see too many people going over to the facebook page mentioned after this thread.

I dont agree with every point made by everybody, but on the whole this forum has been a real positive in keeping old cars mobile while slowing turning them into the cars that we want them to be (slowly in my case, at least  ).
The social side of it, with a bit of good natured banter has been a bonus.

i have been on many clubs. Most Also post twafle. But of all the clubs this is the most sincere. All members apart from shdriver are here to help and offer wisdom, even nitin has posted some useful info. So lee, although your entitled to have your say and opinion, dry your eyes and get yourself a belly rub and admit to yourself that you could perhaps sell better items at better a more realistic price.

Mods please delete my account as you're all a bunch of tossers on here.

But seriously I've never had a problem on TA, I've always received decent advice and help there. Only thing I hate is the mental swear filter

Anyway I'm going off on a tangent :?
