Do the paperclip trick and it should flash at you to give you error code.

But now you've established there is an issue with the 4WS, I wouldn't drive the car unless absolutely necessary.
jst done the paper clip trick, getting 2 flashes? an wen i try the reset it jst goes bc to solid orange? its really drokking me off tbh, an i dont want to put the car to honda cause they will rob me to drokk!

This shouldn't be the case as the light is supposed to come on on start up and then go out immediately after to show it's working. I guess if the MOTer isn't aware the car has 4WS and there's no light to tell him then it could go unchecked, but seriously... He should know whether a car has 4WS or not ;-)
He'd know just from looking that it has 4WS but I doubt he'd know to look for a light coming on with the ignition.

thats jobby - see if i catch up with anyone removing warning lights from the 4ws or anything else im going to break all their fingers :x :x :x
you will need some help to track this problem down and if i were you i would take Indegolemon up on his offer - you already know that taking it to Honda isnt an option.
i dont have 4ws either
sounds dangerous to drive

sorry Nathan i didn't put it clear. as from next year if a cel light stays on at the start of an mot it will be instant fail. so most testing stations are putting that in thier tests now (at the moment they can only advise it, but they will tell you that next year it will be an instant fail)

i will look in garage tommorow if i still have the spare 4ws ecu still. that would be the first thing to check.
(if you dont know its behind your rear passenger seat) if this is faulty it will make the light stay on and the paper clip test won't work. if i still have my spare and i know it is a good one i will send it to you for just the postage cost m8.
