 Well according to the ad it has been left stored for a while. You could well be the winner Pete.

Before you decide between the two I'd check the condition of the supercharger inside. If you can be arsed to remove it, check to see the condition of the rotors inside - any flaking paint or scoring? The outside casing looks a little worn along with the engine bay, but that's just cosmetics.

Oh and to install it properly into your 4th gen, you need to dump the FMU (rising rate fuel pressure regulator) and JR electrics. Then you'll need a tunable ECU and some injectors, which I guess you'd already have to go the other option. 440cc's will be fine for the 6psi of boost.

At the end of the day if you are worried about inlet temps, just make two versions of my super secret intake manifold plans!
Might be easier for you to see how I'll get this to work now you have a JRSC lude to hand.

Also the higher compression, the Type S pistons already installed? You could be fine with 6psi and good tuning you can still go reserved but make good power. But if they aren't installed yet, then I'd suggest sticking with the standard pistons. If it makes you feel better, I've had Rich at PA suggesting to go 11.5:1 pistons in the future for an engine build, and that's on 9 psi, with the option of going 12psi with another pulley I have!
Hence the water injection I already have, and the plans for your custom work on this inlet manifold.

The SC would be the quicker option, to bolt on, tune and go personally. But my project hasn't exactly been that, but I found myself doing everything on the car at once that's why it's not installed yet. It really doesn't take long to install the kit.

Rob, I found the biggest problem with my block is the overbore, I've looked at it before and everywhere said .25 max for boost but I'm pretty sure mines a .5 overbore which kind of rules out that option.

My current standard clock could prob just do with a quick home and new piston rings

That's a good plan to copy ur cooler rob, can I make yours first and then learn for my mistakes and do my own haha

It does all come down to the condition of it all, I was wondering if the rotors are rusty or anything, can I swap them with another charger??

I would develop the supercharger, the reason being is that ITB's apparently only work well on extreme H22 builds.

I've got a friend with a h22a7 and used itb's on the standard engine with some very impressive results, from what I've seen they add more torque than out right bhp.

I've just got to wait to see how this charger looks, I'm goin to mot the car on sat when I'm back just to see what work it would need.

Not like I have any experience of them myself but this is what the Lude god has to say on the subject (who has also ran ITB's on an H22a7):
Buzzonion Vtec wrote: ITB's should really be considered as the "cherry on top of the icing on the cake" as far as H22 tuning goes.

Use OE intake manifold for mild tuning (I/H/E/St1 cams)
Sk2 / ATR single stage intake manifold for medium to high tune level (I/H/E/high comp, higher revs, wild cams)
ITB's for high tune to full race all steel forged motor.

ITB's on a mild tune motor will make little difference to the outright power level (although power delivery can be improved). Road manners will deteriorate significantly and require regular checking on set up/balance.

Don't forget that it's not just a set of ITB's that you need. You will also need (depending on ITB setup) - fuel pressure reg, new fuel lines, some vacuum line work (depending on how many creature comforts you want to keep), filter plate and filter or airbox, wiring mods, proper standalone ecu capable of running ITBs properly, lots of time in setup and dyno work.

In short... ITB's fully fitted and setup doesn't come cheap.
