You really won't to get it mapped to them to get the most out of the setup but others who have done this will be able to tell you more but you should see some nice gains

I have a pde head with skunk 2 intake and that needed mapping so I was told when I bought it but it has a dastek unichip so am pretty sure it has been mapped. :)

I've got an ATR head, cams and inlet on a5 bottom end.

If you use the inlet manifold you'll lose power if you don't remap it. With the cams, Itheyre more aggressive than stock obviously, so you may have issues with not putting enough fuel in higher up the rev range. Also the ATR cams move peak power a bit higher up the rev range so your motor won't run at full potential as the rev limiter will kick in too early. You'll probably hit peak power and then the limiter almost immediately.

For best results get it tuned by someone which knows what they're doing. To see the best results from this, use a Hondata s300 chip. With the head, cams, inlet and a decent exhaust you should see around 220-230 bhp.

Standard limiter in the 5g is is 7800, I assume it's the same in the 4g... Honda put the limiter up the 8000 in the ATR

The spoon chip may work ok with it after seeing someone's results last week using it mind.

Well ive been working out what it will cost generally to tune mine with new pistons and cams, bit of headwork and a skunk2 inlet. For what id pay for all that, i think id rather buy an A7 engine + box, and dump that in ?

Yeah that's fine if you're confident on the condition of the a7 motor ;)
