Uprated clutches come into their own on AWD cars where you can blow a normal clutch in a couple of thousand miles. There's not really any need for it on FWD cars - the wheels will tend to spin before the clutch slips.
this is what im thinking as well judderod - type r clutch = upgrade on prelude clutch at same if not slightly lower cost and its oem and direct fit = win win
how does the type r clutch feel to drive day to day?

:)

It feels a bit heavier to the normal clutch I think, even now after a few thousand miles. But it does feel stronger than standard. Maybe the ATR has a larger master cylinder. So the plate is 4mm larger in diameter I think, and the clamping pressure is probably higher.

There were only a couple of times on my exedy clutch when I full throttle shifted and there was slip, but that's never happened with the ATR clutch and that's with an engine that's got a lot more power and a LSD.

One thing with all cluches for the H22 - they're extremely sensitive to warp if they aren't installed very carefully. You have to tighten the bolts in a cris-cross to a certain torque, 3 times overall. I got that bit right but needed to take it off again to re-align the plate. You're supposed to UNDO the bolts in 3 stages as well! It must have warped it, because my clutch has always had a slight shake, but it's got better over time. Don't make the same mistake I did
