Pros and cons

I quite like the idea of lowering the kick in down to 3.5-4k of the vtec

What are the pros and cons of doing this with a vtec controller??

lighten your flywheel and increase your fueling instead 1st gear you want to spin quickly

look at the graph from cam lobes Primary and secondary and then the vtec cam and you will see why you dont want to mess about with Hondas very expensive research

Disagree entirely
With the CORRECT tuning and knowing what you are doing there are some significant mid range gains to be had.

Yeh I'd get some bolt ons then a tune rather than doing this as this will get no gains and severe mpg losses
I hit the limiter in my h23 vtec still didn't kick in
