maybe your A5 was running out of breath just before Vtec, heightening the cam crossover.

Now it may be better pre Vtec and you just don't get the same variance?

No it was goin same like h22a on low rpm's just vtec was better
so what could cause any problems with vtec?

Well thing is i felt that h22a5 was quicker, or maybe its because it had cp pistons , ported head channels, wrought shells

vtec changeover should be smooth. It's probably nothing and it just doesn't feel as fast because the changeover isnt as aggessive?

What do you want to hear? ..it probably just needs more JDM pixie dust sprinkling on the air filter.

Just tested with 3rd gear till the end and looks like vtec even isnt working at all!
And that thing about sound is crap, just when engine got changed , exaust got louder by itself

What to look first?

Pull out you vtec solenoid and clean filter, just recently a friend of mine with a b16a vtec wasn't pulling great and then stopped working all together. Took of solenoid and cleaned it and it went like a train, vtec was fixed.
