problem solved Vtec problem

I just took out vtec solenoid par of my old engine, will change it on week end

hoply it will solve problem

hey guys i just took of vtec solenoid and i spoted that nothing was connected to solenoid part, oil switch was in but nothing in solenoid , so i found one swich what looks like not beeing in use for a while but the end of that switch is different , so i took picture to know what im switching to

green one is for oil
i dont know what for is black one but it has one wire same like solenoid wire, color on wire is green with black, but it comes same with oil wire

Oh! That's not good! Would explain the lack of VTEC go wouldn't it

Can you check the solenoid on the other engine man?

This solenoid part is from my h22a5 , noone have changed any switches
So what could be that black switch for? Cause you see on picture that they dont match, so if its right one i will make it match

Edit: but i cant find any other wires, how to know if its a right one?

Yea nice pics, looks like its right one, just dunno have diferent switches, do solenoid and oil pressure wires come together wraped?

Hahaha that wire needs to be connected or else how will it work, it can't lock into vtec if the solenoid doesn't work, that's a single green yellow wire that runs the whole length back to ecu, if you look at the top right hand side of the engine bay there will be a bunch of block connectors all connected up, there should be a single connection for the green and yellow wire, a small plug, so it goes ecu, plug, solenoid.

If you look at the 2nd pic I posted, they come together and split with the other two plugs about 2 inches from the actual connector.

I have green with black stripe, maybe cause mine is edm?

Oh well than i will connect it
