Updated rad. Fan suggestions?

Post by M@dds » Sun Apr 28, 2013 5:04 pm

Hi all I've just uprated my radiator which is now thicker 40mm as mine was pretty much shot, I have the problem of fitting my original fan in place as there isn't much room. I need a thinner fan that fits the original bolt fitment locations

Help!!!!!!!!

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pair-of-10-In ... 1e79f76826

i have one of these, although i think mine is a 12"er (just like my gentleman's sausage) nice and easy to wire up, and you COULD i suppose fit it to the front of the rad and wire it backwards if your really stuck for space ;)

piece of body lemonade to fit aswell !

Hey bud,

Just don't buy any ebay crap, they are so flimsy and cheap they hardly pull barely enough air.

I too have a thicker rad, but also need more room for my custom manifold too, I've got two Spal fans for mine. I have two VA09-AP8/C - 54A's. Max 52mm deep, very nicely made. You might be able to get some second hand to save a little.

Ha! Phil, I see your suggestion after I was off trying to find the spec model of mine. Those really aren't that great, seen tests on some US forums against the factory fans and they were worse. :?

Hmmm :/ I've kinda of done this the wrong way, I got my MOT this Friday (first time in 2+ years) got stuck into this thinking, yup will be done for Friday.

They might not be great but maybe my only chance of getting some fans quick!

I like the fans you suggested rob 8) but I don't think time will allow me to buy some and have them turn up before Friday, ill be having a shop around now and see what can be done thank you both for your help, at least it gives me some options instead of none 8)
