What's the extra bit on the type-s block for?

Right. The only gearbox that will fit a Type S engine is the M2U4 tranny. You can remove ATTS but the only gearbox that will still fit the block...NOTICED I SAID BLOCK is the M2U4 tranny.
So you can have an excellent engine but no LSD.

To this day iv not seen a Type SH yank Lude with atts remove and an LSD gearbox attached to the engine since the block is unique to the Type S.

SO Newkid was right. in the facepalm.

You wont be able to retrofit ATTS into a non ATTS Prelude unless you have the front suspension and all yaw sensors, ecus wheel angle sensors and g sensors etc etc.
You can fit the Type S engine no problem but be aware of the gearbox issue.
