Actually, considering a (non-crushed) glass can be said have one surface only, can it contain anything, anyway? Surely you have to put a lid on it, or else the glass is simply positioned in 3D space next to the substance we call 'content'.

Alternatively, if we allow that a glass can contain something after all, we could make a really big one to put a car in and get back to the original thread.

But then you can also never really touch anything any way. It's either separate and substances deform, or you become a compound.

Everything is pipecleaners and marbles just arranged neatly.
