I think the battery from my local Honda was around £70

there are some Honda batteries for sale on gumtree in Edinburgh for £41each - dont know if theyre the right ones or if they would post them out - you would need to check

ok so quick update.

Honda pollockshaws (only decent one close to me, East Kilbride has a Honda dealer but they are jobby) have ordered me the correct battery according to the year/model etc only issue i cannot get it until August 2013! lol

So i have the part no (31500-SS0-N04) and will go around a couple of motor factors and friends i have who are mechanics this afternoon chasing this down.

Western Honda is the dealer, telling me the battery for my car is discontinued.

what a hassle for you mate just to get a battery - ive got one that ive just taken out my 4th gen last week as i had a new yuasa one to fit - you can have it for free if you want to pick it up from me in Edinburgh if your through this way sometime soon - i was just going to keep it a spare

The track cars battery is goosed as it has been laid up for many months

well the plan was to keep it as a spare on trickle charge at the workshop so anyone with a battery problem could grab this to get out of trouble - i thought youd want a new performance battery like the yuasa one ive just fitted. i will bring the old battery with me on saturday if ek_dave doesnt want it.

Take your car to Honda, they will have a big stock of batteries, one will fit in the tray with the correct poles and amperage etc - that's how I got my latest one and it was £60 with a 3 year warranty.
