yeah managed to get it back home - traffic was only moving at 5 miles per hour - so i could just keep up  went back and started it 10 mins later and it had cleared - like i said could have been a bit of dirt in the fuel line or something fuel related. got some vpower in it and its good to go.

I used to use that fuel in my 4G all the time. The BP filling station was the most convenient for me on the way to the track. The inside of the fuel can has always been clean :? The car/fuel can was stored in a cool dry place for the whole winter. Bizarre! Maybe it was coincidental?

could have been but definately fuel related imo but like i say i have a tendency to run the tank dry and i guess thats not a good thing so could have been some crud in the bottom the tank got dredged up or just the sudden change from the new vpower to 97 ron in the tank meant the ecu couldnt compensate quickly enough - when i restarted the car i guess the ecu could take account of the 97 ron and allow the car to run a bit better albeit still rough.

I hope so for your sake Bri. Have you got any hair left or have you torn it all out over this?

I still have hair

It has made me grey though. Was nice to feel a proper power curve earlier, very nice. Now I may enjoy driving it and fixing other things  ;)
