Yeah I got it second hand but was told it had only been fitted to an ATR and used for less than 5000 miles.

Yeah this will be ok, a direct swap for your existing tensioner. People do recommend a manual tensioner conversion but generally only for a full race tuned lude for the faff on it involves.

Ok cool thanks for that mate. Is it worth risking a used tensioner or shall I just keep the one that's been on the car? Do they actually fail?

The one that's been on your car will have loads more miles on it. I still haven't changed my belt but I was advised to change the tensioner at the same time by Rich from Performance Autoworks, wasn't gonna argue with his knowledge & expertise. Personally I wouldn't risk keeping an old tensioner on but it's ultimately your decision.

@Rich, you're a top seller! The tensioner came this morning and it looks brand new :) (are you sure you sent the used one?) Thanks again bud, my collection of parts has begun!

No worries bud, it should have arrived yesterday really (Royal Mail's first class service seems to have gone a bit downhill), but glad it made it to you safely :)

Now I'm waiting on Paisley Freight to deliver my new interior! ...then I'll wait for my water pump stuff to arrive and then I'll sit hungry in the darkness as I can no longer afford electricity or food.
