Why the love??

Banter goes here, and doesn't have to be Lude related

Why the love??

Post by DaveyBa8 » Mon May 27, 2013 10:22 pm

So what is it that draws you to your prelude, why choose a prelude? value for money? something different?

Is there a part of the car you like the most, like the interior, the headlights, the bonnet?

Why do we spend so much time on these machines??

For me the 4th gens interior is special to me, when i seen it :o it just appealed to me in everyway and the aggresive look of the front end.

handling, exclusivity, value for money, the curviness of the 4g compared to the downright aggressive lines of the 5g also no matter which I drive 4 or 5g its the look on kids faces staring and taking pics of the car makes me remember looking at cars when I was a kid deciciding what I would have when I grew up (Hillman avengers with the 70's black bonnets capris and lotus sunbeams opel manta's)

I love the way it looks.

I love the way there are only few about (rare).

Power and handling is great considering some of them go for so less.

Great community with fellow Prelude owners!

Makes me jiszzz in my pants.

There are other reasons but I'm going to bed now.

I love the rarity of the Lude. Whenever I go to a meet, I'm usually the only prelude there 8-) at the local jap meets, there's a few of us from here sat in the middle of hundreds of imprezzas and ctr's  the fact that 9 times out of 10, if you see another Lude on the road, you get a flash of the headlights and thumbs up from the other Luder 8-)

11 years ago I had never heard of a Prelude, then a mate told me about 1 for sale that he'd seen (4th gen), went for a drive just to get a glimpse at this 'car', ended up pulling up, falling in love with it, and buying it a couple of days later. Not long after I saw the 5th gen, and for the 1st time witnessed 4ws 8-) now I'm on my 3rd 5th gen :D

I just love everything about the prelude, and can't see myself owning any other car any time soon ;)

You cheeky muffin

Yeah as others have said, value for money, exclusive, horsepower for money we're talking like £6/hp on your average priced average Prelude.

Handling, looks and power.

Honda engineering quality.

Technical - 4WS (especially - LJK Setright got me interested), Double Wishbones, VTEC

Always fancied one since 3rd's were new....

Tangibly better to drive and more interesting than the Hot Hatches.

Unusual/rarity

And having given mine a really good blast a few times now, I'm amazed how good/fast they really are on a twisty road if you drive 'em right :D

...especially for the money
