Its so much cooler to have a remote than opening a door with a key ;)

This until you press the wrong button and go to open the door only to find it's still locked

Well the key opens both doors so i am guessing that that means there is central locking?

Any ideas on how this might retro-fit?

The aftermarket ones just connect by tapping into the wiring in the driver's side footwell and door sill. I have never had an oem one so cant guarantee it, but expect it would be just as straightforward. It might be that the connections are in the loom not being used.

My other car had central locking which was goosed so the alarm company fitted some door poppers. Just an electronic solenoid really. Might be an option though as I think you might need it only on one side. I take it you unlock the drivers and this unlocks the passengers as well?
