Clutch rubbing the flywheel bolts

Post by 106pete » Thu May 30, 2013 7:09 pm

Has anyone found the clutch springs rubbing the flywheel bolts before?

I've just taken a gearbox off a engine and found this

It's a lightened flywheel and some kind of uprated clutch, I'll try to find out the make and part numbers

Yeah if it was the other way the interference would stop you bolting the cover on!

I am starting to wonder that, I think if the full depth of the friction plate was used up the springs would rub so much and snap!

I'll try to get part numbers tomorrow before I go away for the weekend :-)

Well there's no part numbers on the friction plate but it does have ap stamped on it in the usual ap racing logo kind of way.

Here's the cover but google can't find anything!

No marks on the front of the flywheel but I have receipt for a act one!
