Thanks for the advice mate will definitely be looking at getting Someone who actually has a history of cf hopefully all goes well and I can get it fitted

Yeah should have some where mate but it weren't the zebra pattern it was the jdm access ones If you want it you can have it for free as the exhaust mani had a hole in which I never knew about so because you did not want a refund and you seem quite genuine if you can collect from bedford I will dig it out for you tonight for FREE

thinking about it I might just do the prep and get a pro to clear coat it with 2k

standard grey scotch has an equivalent "p grade" of around 1500 +/-.
its pointless going up to p3000 then going over it with scotch.
personally i would be using 1000-1500-2000 only on the damaged areas and scotching the rest to make it look matt giving it a sufice "key".

I use grey scotch and Presta Scuff stuff. On black cars if i really scrub and key the panel with fresh grey scotch the clearcoat wont hide some of the grey scotch marks.

I tend to scotch (mirka) with soapy water to proivide more lubrication aswell as removing more contaminants. Depending on paste, it is actually alot less uniform, test: take just paste and a cloth and do large circular motions and see the differnce in scratch pattern. Depending on the paste it also is'nt nice to clean and leaves a nasty film residue.
In the trade you will use slightly more materials my way, but its quicker. So materials used v hours sold.
Its mainly pesronal prefference in the trade though.

Im in the trade too.
On metallics silver i tend to just use water and mirka grey scotch. Stops the metallics causing holograms and in the blend areas.
