Glad it's not the engine running out of oil mate, I only mention it as my Accord was in limp mode one night as the engine managed to lose most of it's oil on a dual carriageway... I ended up putting a piston rod through the block, and then the oil light came on![]()

just carefully remove the gauze filter and seal and give it a good blast with some carb cleaner - spray some inside the solenoid - put it all back together and that should be that. You might want to check the condition of the seal and replace it if brittle or broken - think theyre about £30 and a Honda only part although you could probably get it cheaper from somewhere like Htune or Vtec direct.crigal.bb6 wrote:Going to clean vtec solenoid tonight when.i finish work. but yes I used no oil and was just below the top marker when i changed my oil the other week there, mates old bb4 used no oil either.
