Why would I need to swap or add wires? Wouldn't I be able to just to rip my loom and wiring out and put it in the other one so its all the same?

Yeah I know it's being silly. Mine is purely lude just trying to work everything out for cost wise of how to get rid of mine as soon as I done the swap as I'm not a homeowner and parents don't have room or space as they only have little drive ways.Donald wrote:Now you're just asking silly questionskris_aka_edu wrote:I'm confused?! My mate who will be doing it will also want to put the 2.0 engine in his 1.4 ek civic how easy would that be? Non vtec to non vtec just different shell? Bit more hard?find a Civic forum is probably your best bet.

nah man, simply because the 2.0 doesnt have the wires at allkris_aka_edu wrote:Why would I need to swap or add wires? Wouldn't I be able to just to rip my loom and wiring out and put it in the other one so its all the same?
but as the wires come from the ECU then they wouldnt have been on the loom.
I cant remember, what pins i added the wires to but it wouldn't be hard to find out

Lovely that would be great. I have never done a swap before so the more information I know now the better as ideally its going to be done in 1-2 maximum. If I get any bits to sort out after that's bare able but as much as possible if I can. Big job
I was hoping to take the ECU, loom and all the wiring out of mine and just stick it in the other car. In theory to me everything should relatively work the same?
