Black box between battery and suspension strut, what is it?

As above: under my intake there is a little black box with vac hoses and an electrical connector on it, I have an Apexi intake which sits where my airbox was, the resonator tube things are still inside the bumper as I haven't got round to ripping that out yet. But what is this box thing? Is it part of the intake? There is a vac line coming from said box going toward the resonator..

Its what controls the resonator mate.

Ah right, thanks mate, so do I leave it alone when I remove the resonator or rip that out too?

Rip it out too mate. You will need to sort the vac line out though but that's easy enough

Ok cool, that electrical connection being unplugged isn't going to cause a problem?

No mate just leave it unplugged or cut it off or whatever. No engine light etc
