Purely on commuting I'm getting about 270+/Tank, but my route is all motorway and I drive on the way to work like you used to walk home from school when you knew you'd be in trouble when you got home.

That said, mpg drops massively when I'm not commuting, and on the twisty stuff....

Drove to Ayr beach the other night down the coast then up to Glasgow stopped at the quay for a while then back down to Greenock yet the petrol seemed fine ?

Drive the car till the tank is nearly empty. Fill her up and zero the mileage clock, wait till the tank is nearly empty again then fill up and let the forum know how many miles you did in this time and how many litres you put in to fill the tank again (just fill till the pump clicks). We can then debate with dubious maths your MPG :lol:

ok, just worked out my fuel consumption in my type s.

distance covered. 275 miles
fuel fill, 44.72 litres
average mpg 27.96.

so 28 mpg in a 200+bhp car, imo, is great.

(So anyone looking for a sir sspec exhaust system without the cat I have one)
