Re: Josh's BB4
When's JAE?
it's all a question of time and money really, the Prelude is a priority currently though so hopefully won't be too long
it's just surprising how much all the little bits add up to!
As for the ball joint, I think my mate hammers them in. I'm tempted to buy a press though, I think it'd be worth the money for me!

That gives me loads of time to not get it sortedVtecmec wrote:September.jjmartin349571 wrote:When's JAE?

I'd like to get it on the road before summer ends really, so I can cruise round in the sun in my sports coupe wearing shades and get all the ladies

Re: Josh's BB4
Well my ball joint is about 2mm too big in girth apparently. Anyone know where I can get a correct sized front upper ball joint?

Re: Josh's BB4
I think that's the one I have, bought it months ago. My best mate who is also my mechanic (for jobs I can't be arsed to do, like ball joints
) called me today to let me know it didn't fit. He's done this job on my Accord and had no problem, so he measured the diameter of the hole in the wishbone and the diameter of the ball joint, and they're a few mm out. He doesn't want to damage the wishbone so suggested I find one that fits

Re: Josh's BB4
Got distracted again and did a non-critical job
I got an OEM air box and breather pipe plus a performance air filter from the breakers yard today

So from eGay special

to OEM (give or take some massive gouges
)

Looks tidier
not the most beautiful parts I've ever found, but they were dirt cheap so they'll do. Might have a bit more torque now, and won't have to declare an induction kit to my insurer, win-win
Next on the list is bronze glass - all my windows are bronze bar the passenger one. Got a bronze replacement for £15 today so will get that in at some point, although probably not in the next couple of weeks as I'm darting off to Cyprus!
I also possibly have a £50 engine and gearbox from an Accord Euro-R heading my way... possible bargain/ballache
More on that tomorrow though after I've viewed it...
