Well, I've been to see him and told him (and let him feel the vibrations for himself) that I'm not happy with the new mountings as something is definitely amiss.
I've also passed a pdf of the handbook manual that I got from the site. I'm just hoping that he'll be able to cure it this time or if not I guess I'm all out of ideas.
I'll let you know how I get on.
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

I'd like to swing this by you guys to get your thoughts. The mechanic called me yesterday and told me that he's found that the exhaust (specifically the part from the manifold that runs under my seat) is too short and that could be the root cause of the on-going vibration scenario.
Any thoughts? Is this just a whole load of baloney or could he have found the holy grail of my problems?
Thoughts or comments are of course most welcome. Thank you.

Hmm. Would of thought the exhaust being to short would be pulling the engine back. Possible the exhaust is touching the underneath of your car causing the vibration .

That's definitely what he said mate. Anyway, apparently he's making it longer to fit better this morning and all being well ( how many times have I heard that before!!!) he'll be dropping it off with me this afternoon.
Thanks for the comment and I'll let you know the result later on today.
Thanks again, Simon.

Sorry, been really busy but she's back and a lot than before. Still feel a bit of vibration (am I paranoid now?) but at least it's a lot better than before.
Maybe it was the exhaust causing all the grief.
Thanks for the advice folks - now another question but as it's not engine related I'm going to post another thread about my wonky speedo.
