I had some work done at Bowron last year, and was happy with the finish, however yesterday I noticed that you can now see where the new arch was welded in. I'm not sure if it's sunk, or what. Taking it in this week.

I have called them and I don't think it will be an issue, as in they will sort it, but just FYI.

Oh, they also did the repair work on my door when the car was hit earlier this year.

Dropped of the prelude today. They will be respraying the rear bumper and blending the finish into the rear quarters

Very nice people to deal with. Not cheap lol. but hopefully it will reflect in their quality of work.

Looking forward to seeing the results

Whats the price. Id expect that to be around £600-700 plus vat mark for that job.

They quoted me £266 to respray the rear bumper to as close match as possible

Then quoted £336 for the blending work if required.

He will let me know if the bumper respray alone is adequate but as you mentioned in a previous thread the blending work will most likely be required. So £602 total including VAT. Your spot on ratty ;)

Not bad?? or pricey?

Missus thinks im mad spending this money on the body work. lol. I thought long and hard about it as i could easily just put back the UK rear bumper and be done with it. Ive always wanted the JDM rear end so thought just do it and get everything finished. lol

Good price imo. Especially for large panels like rear quarters and bumpers.

Agreed.
For ref, I paid about 700 for one arch, BUT thats including all the welding in of the new part and doing anything else they came across (on the sill, fixing area etc). Did a good job IMO, just a shame about the sinkage, if that's what it is, but I'm sure it will be resolved.

I thought it was quite pricey at first but then he explained the amount of work thats involved when blending.

Just spoke to them this afernoon and they mentioned that the amount of blending work required is fairly light as the bumper respray colour variant he used was almost a match. He will half the cost of the blending work.

It should be ready this saturday
