Whats limp home mode? And how can I fix it?
Limp home mode is when your engine light stays on so it doesn't sound like its that.

I don't think limp mode would let you hit 112mph.

I think you're just running out of oomph mate. Will be interesting to find out what engine you've got, although the F20B6 in my 6g Accord would do well over 112 and that was a heavier car (roughly 1600 kilos), so even if yours is a 2 litre I'd expect you to be able to hit 120-130mph.

I'd liken topping out a car to driving up a steep hill in too high a gear - the engine is working hard, the throttle pedal is on the floor, but you're just not getting any faster.

It's interesting that the H23 ECU has you running slower than the 2 litre ECU... I think we need to see your engine bay, and you need to check your V5C :)

Either that or you could just drive slower ;)

Agreed - that means that ECU is a 100% match dude. What is the gearbox fluid like? Nice and cherry red?

I'd be looking at the basics I think - maybe a good service. IS the exhaust OK - ie no restrictions/holes/leaks?

Had a backbox exhaust put on about 1 and a half years ago. Before this she did 125 no problem, but I don't think I have ever got this out of her again since putting on the exhaust. Could the 2 be related? If so what could the problem be?

Possibly, if the back box is actually restricting the rest of the setup in some way.
I remember years ago when my old cavalier spat the backbox wadding out the back, looked like I was dragging a coyote around  You'd think it would be more 'free flowing', but nope, used to bog down badly. I won't get into the whole back pressure thing as that's another ball game, but it's worth checking out, for leaks along seams/joins etc.
