Adding variable resistor to Flasher Relay?

To clarify - that's In Car Entertainment - not frozen water

It might work but it would reduce the output of the led since there would be a voltage drop across the resistor. Parallel causes additional current draw in a the circuit, series increases the resistance. :geek:

Maybe I've got the wrong end of the stick here but I'm assuming we're using 12v LED's and the problem is with the flasher circuit not working properly. (Just had a re-read, I probably have got it wrong). If the LED's are blowing it must be because the LED's aren't 12v. 12v LED's will usually have a resistor in series as well to drop the voltage across each LED to about 1.2 - 2v.

That's what I wanted too know 8-)

Its just the flasher issue, I'm using proper 12v bulbs.

The stop/tail led bulbs I bought were 12v canbus bulbs. 2 sets of them blew out.

I would like to try again and probably use the wiki fix on here to stop the dash bulb fail light coming on...Which led bulbs have people used which fit the tail lights without burning the plastic?
