see how much play you have in the accelerator cable ;) may have streched. sounds like the throttle is not returning or going back to far :?:

Accelerator cable is fine check that anytime I check my oil just for good throttle response
I've got carb cleaner in my garage so will give the TB a clean tomorrow if that doesn't work ill go onto the IAC etc

Cleaning the TB seems to have stopped the revs nearly hitting zero but hasn't stopped the shaking occasionally at idle feels like your in some sort of V8 muscle car that's pulsing away

you could try checking the engine mounts, look for lots of movement for the engine etc...

this might be causing problems with the exhaust, messing up your idle

just a guess but worth checking

Mounts seem solid
Only other thing is there is a small oil leak at the back of the engine seeing a drip of oil on the driveway about once every 4 days

EGR is next on the list ;)

My thoughts are the servo or the pipe that goes from the inlet manifold.

To add more info, with a bit of wet weather there the odd wheel spin came into play, but it seems right after a spin when you come to a stop the revs drop again ? and sit about 3/400 rpm ?
it is really starting to bug me :x
