no splits in the guide. also if you were to need to fit it to the opposite side of the car you would need to fit it upside down or if fitting the right way up, it would face towards the rear of the car, also to retract the belt, you have to lift it up. also the click/locking action would be in the wrong place.

Maybe anyone can explain the purpose of number 1 item? Is it some kind of valve? Maybe someone could take detail photos what's inside it?
