the spoiler has been re-done already, and has come up fine and not faded back at all. But, i am going to get them both re-done at some point anyway, will look nice with a fresh set of laquer over it :)

No worries, just been recommended by a couple of retailers and some bodyshops to do this to new bonnets and second hand ones as you never know what is on from the factory and what has been added at any point.

Does look great though. 8)

something my bonnet could do with

seems like its under the resin maybe, down too the weave

holes too, could be beyond saving

Nothing is beyond saving. It could be sanded right back if careful enough not to sand the weave too much and completely re-laquered.

its not lacquer tho right?

I did try small amount of lacquer bit it seemed to soak into the weave :?

It is laquer on mine, as i cna see it run off white when i wet and dry it

my bonnet was cheap, have no idea of the brand
