Airbag Light ON

hey guys,

Recently my gouge cluster (think its you call it that way)

started to give me some problems on the rev. counter.
so I managed to get a "new" one from the same type of prelude (VTI, same year, same BHP), thing is.. when i connect the new one, when i start the car, the airbag light comes ON (steering wheel was not removed, so airbags weren't touched).

When I install the old one back into place, the lights are all OK.

Any idea of what can be causing this?

you could try the SRS light reset

if the cluster was not working before maybe the light has always been on and you didn't know

With the old one, did the light come on with the ignition then go out? Or never come on at all?

hey guys,

indeed i don't know if the cluster in the other car the light was always on or not (airbags where not deployed), but shouldn't the cluster get info from my car and then give error lights?

with the old cluster.. the car does the normal stuff, before startup does the tests lights and lights go on, as soon as the car starts.. lights go out, as everything is OK.

could be fault with the new cluster, don't seem likely
