So in the end @bennyboy came over and soldered my fuel relay for me. Which seemed to be ok just redone to double check it. We opened up the dizzy and it looks all brown and crap and the rotor arm wiggled about a bit and is full of brown soot from the sparks over the years. I'm going to swap it over with a mates one to rule out the dizzy tomorrow. I'm still thinking its fuel pump. Tomorrow ill confirm it.

+rep for coming over to help mate appreciate it.

No problem mate, sorry it didn't solve it but at least it's ruled it out.
Having seen the inside of the dizzy cap, and how loose that rotor was, my gut instinct is still igniter or coil.
I know it's tempting to just change the whole dizzy but why go to that bother if you don't have to? It's easier to swap each of them at a time to try, dizzy as a last ditch IMHO. :)
BTW, suddenly realised that I didn't tighten the main relay mount bolt up again! no biggie, but it may rattle around a bit until you do!

Ok mate ill tighten that up. Not a problem think I know where I'm looking now.
I'm going to swap the whole dizzy just to rule it out. Well kind of. If I put a new dizzy on, so if it starts its the dizzy and not the fuel pump. If it is the dizzy that's wrong ill change the parts in it (now I know it's easy to fix). If that makes sense?

This sort of thing?: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ignition-Coil ... 589f77090c

and:

I havent looked in detail or for the cheapest BTW, just examples!

GSF is one of the sellers - that's German Swedish and French! So give them a call for a price, also try EuroCarParts and Allparts, the latter is where I got mine.

FFS, you try to help!
Mine was a long time ago to be fair, but seek and ye shall find!!
Like I said, personally I'd determine what I needed before buying anything, which wouldn't get to you nay quicker because of the bank holiday anyway  But hey, that's just me.
