BB4 CV joint

Post by rick82 » Wed Aug 28, 2013 1:54 pm

Hi

I have just spoken to my local motorfactors and they have quoted me £82 for a new outer CV joint. That is quite pricey for a CV joint.

I looked on ebay but getting quite different prices. Do these both look right to you?

I did ask motorfactors if they could give me any technical details but all they had was a part number.

Thanks.

Can you pull apart one of your own CV joints to count the teeth/splines etc? The joint in the first link seems mighty cheap to me and there are no technical details to go on.. the second one seem's ok to me - but I don't know for sure, sorry.
