the auto box does not have an input shaft as such like the manual, on the manual box you can line up the shaft into the clutch assembly and this then helps you locate the box on the dowls on the engine. the auto box torque converter has a half inch female hole that slots onto the male stub on the fly wheel, you then need to bolt the box to the engine once the converter has lined up on the fly wheel, you then need to rotate the torque converter to insert the m6 bolts one at a time. its a pain and so much easier out on the deck

unfortunatly i have neither the time,location or equipment to remove the whole engine :? the car is parked on the road and im gunna have to do it were it is. im also restricted to only having the car off the road for 2 days tops.

im gunna wave a crate of beer around see if i can tempt in some local help :lol:

If the dates work I could be tempted to take a trip to the island ;) ...... could you pick up and return to the ferry to save an expensive car ferry journey????
