It is also a right PITA to get off. Having a vice and a impact gun certainly helps.

Take it to a local tyre shop and use their impact gun, mine didn't even need a vice just held onto it. And yes it's a left hand thread ;)

Slipped an allen key in one of the holes to hold it and swore at it while attacking with a breaker bar
