Yeah, I'll get the IM & cams fitted at the same time as the conversion I think then add the TB & hondata (with tuning) later, when money allows.

Ok, so here's a good question;

Is the ATR IM smaller than the Skunk2? If so, being similar in performance, would that be a prudent alternative, should the S2 not fit?

the skunk2 is a copy of the atr manifold just with longer runners

So does that solve the potential sizing issue then?

Or, to put it another way, are the ATR IM & stock H22a IM the same size in terms of external dimensions?

i think they are about the same yeah, the only bonus with the skunk2 is that it wouldnt need work to fit the h22a head, the atr mani needs abit of modding, you may be best off just buying an atr head and intake manifold

Oh yeah, cos that would have all the cams & junk already in there. That would mean more cost though. Food for thought..

I think I'll just get the S2, & have a spare Pre-modded ATR at the ready in case it doesn't fit. Then sell on whichever I have left over.

I'll make it work somehow.

Well you wont be having a huge hole cut out of your bulkhead like a certain polo did to get it in I can tell you.
