Rocker Cover Gasket Change

Post by CrunchyAdams82 » Fri Oct 11, 2013 9:01 am

Hi guys, I've got to change the rocker cover gasket on my B20 engine this weekend & was just wondering what I should be using to seal it?

Should I;

a) Just leave it dry?
b) Just coat it with a thin layer of engine oil?
c) Get a bespoke sealant to suit?

Thanks

Edit: This is the gasket I have been sent if that's of any help.

Dry with a touch of Hondabond in each of the corners of the gasket over the cams.

+1 according to the manual. Hondabond or your choice of liquid gasket.

Ok, thanks guys. If I pop into a motor factors, is there only one type of liquid gasket to be had, or is there a particular type I'm looking for?

Threebond, and as said, only in the corners of the half moons.
