Refurb 18" Kahn RS-R's *Pics added*

Post by Duo » Wed Mar 14, 2012 11:21 am

I have for sale a set of 4 fully refurbished Kahn RS-R alloys in 18" x 8 (think they're 8J, J is a normal edge bead for this width) size and 4x114.3 PCD, they're refurbished professionally by lathe straightening and turning, alloy welding of the scuffs and scrapes on the lip, acid dipped, powder coated and the face refinished in glossy metallic black. From this they are straight and as new but in a much better (imo) colour.

The stock centre caps were in a state so I peeled off the Kahn logo's and cleaned up the lot, the centres being plastic have a few little signs of scuffing around the edge but tbh you wouldn't see it unless you got really up close and personal. Now the centre caps are still silver but you only see the edge and they have Mugen logo stickers on them, they're outdoor rated centre cap stickers so should be fine no matter what gets thrown at them and they're brushed metal logo with glossy black background.

As yet I can't post pics, am at work and also need to contact the mods :!: these wheels are 100 miles away at my parents, getting pics with my name on will be huge hassle, any way around this? I can have various forum members verify who I am, can a Mod please pm me for this, if it really must be done I can make the trip and do more pics but will take time :!: For now you can see one of the wheels in my AV pic.

Asking £600 for the set, just the alloys, no valves etc, they were nearly £1000 when new and are back to being as new from the refurb work. Prefer to have them collected from my parents place near Hemel Hempstead or my place near Gloucester, could arange postage/bring to a show/relay with members but postage and relaying using forum members would cost a bit extra (assuming members are willing to relay or take to a show).

If £600 is too steep I am open to sensible offers, these fit 4th gens nicely on 215 tires. Mod's please pm me regarding pics :)

Duo has been in touch regarding pics. As the alloys are around 100 miles and over an hour away from him we are waiving the rules for pics for this thread at this time. Obviously anyone interested can get in touch with Duo and pics/viewing can be arranged then.

Cheers!

Just one wheel (they're all the same) without centre cap.

I can't say I really want to sell these but the Stagea needs tyres and good ones, it's also the daily driver so needs must, I'd prefer to sell to enthusiasts though as I know the work will be appreciated so if you know anyone wanting some 18" alloys in 4x114.3 point them here, if I really have to they'll go on ebay. As I said above, new a set of these was nearly £1000 and these pretty much are new, I'll even polish and wax them a few times before a buyer gets them to make sure they're well protected, Kahn no longer sell these either so grab a rare bargain 8-)

Ok guys, on ebay:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kahn-18-RSR-A ... 2a20340cf4

Set the reserve to 425 as ebay fees suck but if you guys know of anyone after some essentially new alloys please point them over to this ebay link. Can't go any lower on price due to the work done to make them all shiny and nice, cheers guys! Also I can deliver to JAE to make things a bit easier if required.

Chris
