Big thanks to Rich
Been to see Rich today -
New Honda clutch
4.4kg flywheel
Install some new hid bulbs
Find the source of my annoying rattle
VCs
The clutch was precautionary for a pending trip to Northern Ireland, but turned out a wise decision as one side was down to rivets.
Got a Competition Clutch Cromoly 4.4kg flywheel fitted too.
All I can say is the car is just fooking awesome now, I no longer need legs like Fatima Whitbread to press the clutch down and it just spins up so well. Not sure how much is down to the clutch or down to the fly, but once I got used to the pedal being so easy to press, the ride home was great.
The noise was traced to where the manifold joins the 4-2-1 section as the springs weren't pulling it tight enough. Rich pushed the join and spot welded the join to keep it together (spot welded so it would be easy to bring off the welds and separate the exhaust if I ever needed it to come off. The rattle has gone so the car sounds south better.
The car is just even more awesome now and Rich has done yet another star job.
Sorry no biscuits today though mate, I rushed back out and forgot all about them!
