Banter goes here, and doesn't have to be Lude related

Hand brake cable pin

Post by jjmartin349571 » Mon Oct 28, 2013 10:02 pm

Hi folks,

I'm after the clevis pin from the end of the handbrake cable, part 1 in the diagram

Lings want £2.50 which I think is mental for a tiny metal pin. Can I get a generic jobby from somewhere else? I searched for clevis pins on eBay but they were a bit bigger than I needed, one was for a Massey ferguson tow hitch

Cheers,
Josh

£2.50 for the correct safety critical item, sounds fair.

Plus driving 20 odd miles to my local honda on a Saturday morning though?! seems like a lot of hassle for a pin.

Either that or spend hours trawling the net to find said pin then giving up and driving to honda after wasting hours and hours searching lol

Surely some paperclips bent to shape should do it yeah

20 miles! This is why we can order parts online ;)

Just went to see about ordering through ling's, minimum order of 2 pins at £2 odd each and they wanted £5.50 for carriage. Seems a bit steep imo so will phone my old work and see if they'll be extra nice and post me them out as a favour if I get them ordered in.
