Seeing as this is a cool plane pics thread, you might fancy checking this out: Collection of very low passes!
Its a pretty awesome array of pictures, some of them are absolutely mental. Check out the Mig-15 actually brushing the grass at the bottom of a badly timed loop!
My old man did his fast jet training in Wales and has some interesting stories about the high-speed valley runs they used to do!

I was at RAF Leuchars again in September for what will be the last air show there (Ask George Osborne why
). Quite poignant. The awesome Vulcan couldn't make it unfortunately this year, but there was some great stuff. I love the Typhoons, I have to say. Nothing like the sight of a fast jet climbing and turning when you see the burners come on, and the Typhoons in particular seem to make a gorgeous, crackling, tearing sound as they do.
Don't judge these too harshly - taken one handed with a compact.
I'm on an A380 in a few weeks. Wish he was doing that stuff.
