There probably is fair bit of difference - pro job will involve removing some of the oem mount rubber but leaving enough to bond the new poly onto then you choose what shore hardness you want and what colour - poly will be properly cured and someone else gets a sticky finger not you. Visibly better finish.
Sikaflex is shore hardness 40 so is reasonably soft whereas the oem mount feel a lot harder. Im thinking it might be a good combination in that the sikaflex will still allow movement of the oem mount but will hopefully stiffen things up 10-20 percent and cut down on vibration freeing up a small amount of power.
I will let you all know what difference they make once i get them fitted but i dont think i can go wrong for the money spent - if i dont like them then i will have a spare set to send out for a pro job...so its full of win

i dont KNOW about that but i do know that nathan takes out about 95% of the OEM rubber and replaces it all with his compound.

is that the difference between supporting an old building because its getting a bit old and knocking it down to build a new one?

i think it comes down to what kind of car your building. if you just want a little more stability to your old OEM mounts then i dare say the silkaflex hack would sort you out. its a hack though. ghetto mod

if your not bothered about vibration and you want to hit it hard then get a pro to prepare you a set made for the job.

I ran for quite a while with just the front and sides done and difference was instant.
The rear one was done at a later date as it was a PITA.
Note, your dashboard will rattle at certain revs.

i do hope so i hate it when money gets spent and i cant see, feel, have no real difference to point at.

rattly bits just need hunting down and putting 1sqcm of sounddeadening on the area. this is another sunday job

It won't rattle if you leave the rear one untouched, but you will still find a noticable improvement with engine stability.
