aux belts

Any idea how long it should take to fit aux bekts to my 4th gen?? :-)

Not long. It is quicker and easier if your car does not have ABS.

It is easy then. All you have to do is slacken the bolts and adjuster, push the alternator or PS pump towards the block and the belts will come off. When putting the belts on the PS pump is fairly obvious but the alternator is a little tricky if you are unsure how the adjuster works. You need to get the alternator belt tight by pulling the alternator away from the block and tightening the adjuster bracket under the alternator, then tighten up the adjuster, then tighten the bolt where the alternator pivots on its bracket.

Is the ABS not behind the passenger headlight in the 4th? I just assumed it was. I dont have ABS in my BB4. ABS in the way makes a huge difference in the 5th when fitting the belts.

i just wanted to check as if the ABS got in the way i have been swapping belts in all sorts of wrong ways for the last few years! :lol:
