Have you changed the dizzy, leads, spark plugs, & connections mate? Sounds like you have a weak link somewhere.

And the IACV/EGR/throttle body been cleaned up?

All vac hoses good?

Ok, firstly let's consider this may be being caused by water ingress or damp. You're not the only one who's suffering from these symptoms right now..

So, bit of a long shot, but have you checked all your earthing points for a good connection/corrosion?

And have you checked your ECU for signs of ingress/corrosion? As well as the fuse/relay box in the engine bay?

Have you checked all exposed electrical plugs in the engine bay that could have taken in water from a deep puddle splash?

Other ideas..

When was your cambelt last done? If it's worn, it could be slipping teeth every so often - hence running good, then running poor.

When were the valve clearances last done?

Have you checked the tension on the cambelt? The auto-tensioner could be on it's last legs. Or if it's got a manual tensioner fitted, maybe it needs adjusting.

Could it be your O2/Lambda sensor is knackered, & confusing the computer?

Or, finally, is your catalytic converter blocked perhaps??

Ok some of those things i can say yes too but the confusing bit is when i spray wd40 stuff over all plugs and electrics it doesnt do it an i know wat ur thinking do one thing each day but i tried that an sometimes it doesnt do it hence u never know if u got the rite one , i really do think its moisture in electric althou i do also think it mite be o2 sensor as changed it for second hand one a while ago but it did not look the same but no one has a spare one i can try as getting fed up buying new bits :(

If it's only giving you problems when cold I don't think it can be the O2 sensor, as far as I'm aware the ECU doesn't 'listen' to the signal from that sensor until after the engine has warmed up?

I had similar trouble recently on my Accord, turned out to be a bad coil pack. May not be the same problem as yours, but mine seemed to have packed up just as the torrential rain arrived...

It doesnt do it straight away when cold its about one mile down road as temp gauge goes up a bit

how often are you driving it? and rather than spraying wd40 all the time get some paper towel and dry the inside of the dizzy cap and take the plugs out and check them
