I do like a clean engine bay, do you think you are up to 200 bhp with the mods?

Thanks Noeye, the car is in excellent shape all round, been my pride and joy for 5 years on the 6th of this month :)

I've never had it dyno'd but I'd say it's up to about 190bhp with the Type S intake, 62mm throttle body, ECU, and larger diameter exhaust. The real difference is not in the bhp though, but in the short ratio gearbox, Accord Type R clutch kit and XTD lightweight flywheel. The engine spins up so quickly now that it launches like a beast. The acceleration is awesome, and I'll be sad to lose that buzz when she's gone. I've driven the 1999 H22A8 200bhp version and the setup I've put together on this 1997 H22A5 provides far quicker acceleration. Plus, these mods don't effect the insurance premium, so no extra costs involved there. All the insurance companies care about is bhp, not how much faster your car can accelerate due to the transmission setup ;)

Thanks Hondansxr. The short ratio gearbox by its nature is all about acceleration, but I can't say I've noticed any drop off in the top end speed. I have observed that the M2P4 gearbox revs about 400rpm higher than the auto gearbox when travelling at 70mph.

Thanks for the offer mate, however I'm selling as I have a company car, so no need for a second car  Plus I still have my motorcycle for thrills, so decided to sell the Lude.
