I managed 39 seconds of that video. Can't watch any more. Standing on the edge + shaky wobbly camera work are too much for me.

Re: Don't Look Down
I can understand that but height is height, once you get to a height where death is certain then it's all the same. It's falling and knowing that there's a chance you'll survive as a total mess for the rest of your life that's worrying
I used to be more nervous on a house rooftop than hundreds of feet up.
I think the chap actually said the way he looks at it is you're still holding the same bodyweight whether you're 10 feet or 100 feet up. Purely psychological.

Yeah I've always thought this - surely walking along the edge of a gigantic drop is no different to walking next to the curb and not stepping into the road... I still jobby a brick at heights if I'm not harnessed up to something though
slap some safety gear on me however and I'll dangle off anything happily. I abseiled down a local university block for a friend's charity a couple of years ago, I love stuff like that

Re: Don't Look Down
Yeah but that's different again IMO, if it was compared to walking along the edge of the curb with the certainty you'll be hit by a car if you step out I think you would feel different.
yeah harnesses play a big role in it too of course, but you're not under constant tension and it still hurts like drokk to fall in a harness
even on a fully handrailed scaffold I've done a shat though
when you're just stood there and you lean back on your heels a touch and there's a slight height difference in the boards - you definitely feel it and instinctively reach out for something
then of course you get the body lemonade taken for the rest of the day.
