Hi rob Sunday would be better for me if thats possible as im booked in for a new tramp stamp at 1.30 tomorrow and will posibbly be unfit to drive before then

well having just returned from viewing this i must say as the post title suggests im SHOCKED, almost reduced me to tears i must say, i hate to think how rob feels when he has to look at it. such a shame that so much moneys worth of car has been reduced to what it is today.

Rob, Seriously, you should have washed it!!

I know where you're coming from saying you wanted them to see it as is but a quick once over with some H2O means people viewing the auction would at least be able to see the panels of the car lol.

Good luck with the sale though, sopme decent parts on there.

sadly no merc. people can see through a bit of grime and some moss to what lies underneath and all the panels seem ok, it would have been purely a money making exercise for me to buy and break it but anything mechanical needs to be salvagable to make any money out of it. i could take a chance and possibly get my money back from the known usable bits but as much as i like most of you on here i have better things to do with a £1000+ than buy a car and strip down just to supply you lot

. the mechanicals of the car would need to be proven to be ok before selling and i can't do that unless i buy it and its too big a chance to take.

maybe it would be better if the seller (Rob) could clean the car up a bit then make it into a running car. Could easily tripple the bid. Then buyers would know all the parts worked etc.

Thanks for the honesty Ted, much appreciated, I'm braced for the event that whoever win's the auction will possibly walk away unless they know what they're doing.

I wouldn't want to sell the car to anyone naive enough to not know what they're doing, I'd also like to see her restored, but that's out of my hands.

Now obviously I could spend money getting her running, but I just don't want to get re-attached to her, just looking at the track day photo's is hard, it's taken me this long to finally give up on the idea of getting her back on the road and put her on eBay, and a 350Z 313 GT ragtop is nice but no track car.

The Prelude, or BoB, as the old onions on Honda Rev's used to call her is only the 2nd car I've ever fallen in love with, the 1st was a 4G Prelude, this Prelude was such a great drive, all the work & mod's done on her were all about making her a great track car, and normally it was only Richy (Performance Autoworx) who could out pace her at the track days I used to do with that group.

Now you can take all of this with a pinch of salt and I wouldn't blame anyone, but like Ted I pride myself on being honest, and when I ran Dragon2Modz / D2M Tuning we had a reputation built on trust, honesty and integrity, we only ever had one complaint from an S2000 owner who wanted to return an exhaust he'd been running around with on his car for a month, that was it in 5 years, so I'd like to think we were doing something right.

Regards the Prelude, I set a reasonable price that I thought would put off any chavvy numpties or young boy racers, so that someone would hopefully see through the grime, realise her present problems, etc. and do something similar to when Dave / MadMaxx restored his 4th Gen Prelude, or the similar lengths Exboyracer and Darf used to go to working on their cars.

Now honestly I could take her up to Richy @ Performance Autoworx, money isn't the issue, and get her running and every single issue resolved, including a bare metal respray. Richy's done a fair bit of work on the car both when he worked at N&N Autoworld and at Performance Autoworx (IIRC) and I'm eternally grateful for his care, diligence and attention to detail and putting as much effort and care into working on my car as he did on everyone else's cars.

I just want to see her go to a new home, someone who will hopefully care for her like I used to. I unfortunately don't know if I'll even be in this country within a year, and my present job doesn't allow me the opportunities to do track days.
