Mine eats oil like a bitch. In vtec all the time 2l ever 1000 miles easy. Rings doffo a bit worn. its the hi compression imho. After a while it wears the stock rings a bit maybe.

To be honest it still beats 4th gens even with a dicky motor so who cares    :P

I do have s spare type S engine stashed away though so its not a massive ballache as and when.
6th gen Prelude please Mr Honda. RWD 2.4 turbo lude.

How hard do you drive? How far is that?

Also what oil are you using?

overfilling engine with oil? oil should be between min/max , if you overfilled you might damage your seals and even more damage can be done with overfilling

Good point.

Plus, do you have any oil leaks? Common areas are the sump seal, rocker cover seal, cam seal, oil cooler plate seal and distributor O-ring that I can think of off the top of my head. If you need pointing in the direction of these just shout.

Yea it was only a tad over the max, no leaks that I could find at all. In fact under regular driving conditions its oil usage is fine it's only under heavy acceleration etc that it starts disappearing
