been having a look, the type r box is best for low,close ratios, unfortunatly the 5th is also low, so if 5th could be changed then hey perfect box. the h22 should have had 6 gears to get the best from the vtec. 
anyone got any old gear clusters laying around
while we are on type r boxes, after looking at the ratios by 80mph you would be shifting into 4th, is this prehaps too close considering the lude will go 0-60 in under 7 seconds (that would be nearly 4 shifts in the type r box
in the auto - motorway 70mph is 3200 rpm which is low compared to the manuals and 88mph @ 4000rpm
