Got a link for the C/L upgrade Buddy as mine does as said as well up to point 13 and then sod all...so upgrade might work
even the dealer tried and gave up :?

As far as i know you need an original programmed fob to be able to put it into learn mode. Then press the buttons on new remotes to learn them to the car. IM not 100% but i think there is a different procedure for a complete lost fob learn. I can ask my master tech tomorrow for you chap if you like!!

Can clarify that you dont have to have an original fob as i bought my 5th gen with no fob. I bought another fob from ebay same year. Followed the above steps and it worked after about 3 attempts.

Well. Just had this kit with the upgraded motors fitted over the weekend and it works perfect.

The control unit and fob I got from cebul of here sorted my problem out with little to no hassle.
